Organized by China Banking Association and the Government of Beijing Haidian District, a high-level conference themed ‘2019 Beijing Fintech Collaborative Innovation BBS & Launch Conference of Fintech Collaborative Innovation Platform’ was successfully held recently in Beijing. Prof. Li Liao, Executive Associate Dean of Tsinghua PBCSF and Dean of THUIFR delivered a speech themed ‘Rise of Alternative Data’ during the conference. Prof. Li Liao believed that the rapid development of fintech in China in the past decade including the increase of fintech startups and the integration of new technologies and traditional financial institutions, greatly demonstrated the trend of the collaboration between startups and traditional players. Meanwhile, the rise of alternative data started to be applied in different sectors of finance, especially helping solve the problems in credit rating and decision-making, would develop rapidly in global market.
